Monterey and Carmel 旅游攻略

在北加住了许多年，Monterey 和 Carmel (包括17 miles)也去过很多次了。写出一些心得和大家（尤其是吃货朋友分享）。
开始我们总是当天去当天回。后来发现这样玩不够放松。就改在周末在哪儿住一夜了。
Monterey的一个著名景点是水族馆，大人去过一次觉得就够了，但是小朋友每次去都挺高兴的。买了年票以后，我们会隔三差五的去玩一玩。如果我们是旅游淡季去，比如冬天，我一般会定一个星级较高的Hotel，或者在AirBnB上找到一些比较新鲜／奇的lodge。这个时候的性价比最好。比如Intercontinental, the Clement 就在水族馆旁边，找一个海景房，早上看看海景，中午小的累了，还可以回去睡个午觉再玩。
关于吃，看过阿甘正传 (Forrest Gump)的一定要去一下Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. 这个饭店离水族馆不远，沿着Cannery Row走一会儿就到了，中午可以从水族馆出来吃个饭，下午再玩。当然沿着Cannery Row还有许多家餐馆，咖啡馆，有空可以都试试。
再远一点的地方，有些很好的海鲜餐馆。我们比较喜欢的是Passion Fish （http://www.passionfish.net/）这一家在light house ave 上. 在各大网站的review都挺好。其实餐馆挺小的，但food和service都挺好。不过一定要提前预定，不然walk in要等很久。
另外有几家Susi的馆子不错。Crystal Fish 也是我们常去的一家馆子，鱼肉很新鲜。
如果带着孩子玩，小朋友喜欢play ground的话，可以去Dennis the Menace park, 那里的play ground很大，有很多不同的滑滑梯，climbing wall 等等。
晚上在附近住一夜，第二天早上可以租一个大的四轮自行车，全家一起在海边骑车看海景。如果孩子大一些，或者只有大人还可以在海边玩玩独木舟。
如果第二天不想在Monterey玩了，可以继续往南开去Carmel的小城。 那是一个很小资的小城，和美国许多旅游小城一样，Carmel小城的主街上有很多小店，让大家步行逛一逛。我喜欢的是一家德国的餐具店，那里有许多很精美或者很稀奇的餐具，厨房用具。每次我都忍不住买个小东西。另外就是一些古玩店（antique store）, art store, 咖啡店。如果时间来的及，又有雅兴，不妨在本地的小咖啡馆坐下来，品品咖啡，吃吃甜点，非常惬意。
Carmel 小城的旁边就是著名的风景线，17里（17 miles）。开车兜一圈，看看风景，就可以顺着一号公路北上返回硅谷。
还没有结束, 在回程的路上你可以选择走一号公路经Santa Cruz回来，这样你就可以去尝一尝著名的Phil's Fishmarket, 这家restaurant 坐落在Moss Landing这样一个非常不起眼的小城，餐厅也不精致，有点像国内的大排档，但是海鲜做的真好吃。尤其是他们的海鲜汤（seafood soup），连续多年被评为海鲜汤之王。值得一试。
如果你喜欢shopping，那可以从101回来，经过Gilroy 的outlet可以血拼一下。
这样两，三天的一个trip就完成了。当然如果在旅游旺季，Monterey和Carmel的旅馆都比较贵，就找一家便宜一点的小旅馆住住就算了。

My Favorite Cuisine of the World

I like and enjoyed cooking. After I moved to America, I have opportunity to taste different cuisine in the world and collect recipes from friends coming from different countries.
I also found several websites which talk about different Cuisine and Culture in the world. It's really joyful to learn the Culture and History through tasting their food.
